Rice Milling Process in Cambodia
After the paddy rice enters the production line, it first passes through the destoner, which removes stones, sand, soil particles, dust, and other impurities.
The cleaned paddy then enters the rice husker, where the outer husk is removed to obtain brown rice. The gravity separator subsequently separates brown rice from remaining unhusked paddy according to differences in physical properties.
Next, the brown rice enters the rice mill for whitening. The rice polishing machine further improves the surface appearance and texture of the finished rice.
Finally, the white rice grader classifies the milled rice according to grain size and helps separate broken or undersized grains. This multi-stage process helps produce more uniform and marketable polished rice.
