What is boiled rice?
Boiled rice is processed with hot water, and it is easily hulled after hot water treatment. In this process, most of the water-soluble nutrients such as vitamins and inorganic salts in the cortex and germ penetrate into the endosperm with water. They are retained during the rice milling stage when treated with a complete rice milling plant, which improves the nutritional value of rice. Actually, the boiled rice has higher nutritional value than ordinary white rice. The structure strength of the rice after hot water treatment is increased, and there is less broken rice when processing, and the rice milling efficiency is high as well.
What should you do towards brown rice before milling ?
Before milling rice, the moisture of rice should be controlled between 14.5% and 15%. After long-term low-temperature storage, the moisture of rice needs to be measured before processing. Besides, you should pay attention to that the moisture of brown rice should be less than 14% during operation, and you can use brown rice conditioner for measurement. After that, the color and gloss of the finished rice are increased, which can improve the rice sales price to a certain extent. Most important, rice milling rate increases by 1%, and rice crushing rate decreases by 0.5%. What’s more, properly increasing the water content of rice will improve the food quality of it.
